Karen has been working in childcare since 1987, previously been a childcare manager of a multi cultural centre, running pre-school, messy play, parents & tots, youth clubs, breakfast club, one site & off site After School Clubs and holiday playschemes for 4 to 13 year olds.

She’s been a training officer- assessor since 2006, leading on early years and playwork. Presently working part time, covering Northamptonshire and supporting apprentices through level 2 and 3 qualifications.

Fun fact although she believes that children should be allowed to take part in risky play, she has never attempted to climb a tree!
